About the role
Following a year of strong growth, we are seeking a motivated Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive new business across our core security services division while also leveraging CSA’s established client relationships to cross-sell.
The purpose of this role will be to secure profitable new business in security guarding, mobile patrol, and keyholding services while developing and maintaining strong client relationships. The BDM will also identify opportunities to cross-sell additional CSA services (cleaning and FM) within existing client networks.
Key responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify, pursue, and win new contracts for manned guarding, mobile patrols, and keyholding services.
- Generate leads through networking, prospecting, tender platforms, and targeted outreach.
- Leverage CSA’s reputation and existing client base to develop cross-service opportunities.
- Prepare proposals, pricing models, and tender submissions in collaboration with the Commercial Director and Operations teams.
- Conduct site visits and security surveys to scope client requirements accurately.
- Negotiate contracts in line with CSA’s commercial and quality standards.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
- Support the smooth mobilisation of new contracts, coordinating closely with the Operations Team.
- Attend regular client meetings and represent CSA at local business and industry events.
Reporting & CRM
- Maintain accurate records of leads, pipeline, and conversion rates within the CRM.
- Provide monthly activity and performance reports to the Commercial Director.
- Forecast revenue and track progress against agreed sales targets.
Key performance indicators (KPIs)
The following is a non-exhaustive list of KPIs on which this role will be measured. Targets will evolve over time to support success in the role and to ensure outcomes remain aligned with CSA’s wider business objectives.
- New business revenue won (annual and quarterly).
- Gross profit margin achieved on new contracts.
- Conversion rate (leads → proposals → wins).
- Pipeline value and growth within CRM.
- Client satisfaction during mobilisation and review stages.
Experience and qualifications
Essential
- Proven experience in business development or account management within security, facilities management, or related B2B services.
- Demonstrated success in winning and managing profitable contracts.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to price contracts effectively.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Competent using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
Desirable
- Knowledge of SIA regulations and security industry standards.
- Existing client network within Wales, Bristol, or South West England.
- Experience cross-selling across FM or cleaning contracts.

Salary Package
- Competitive salary (£55,000 - £65,000 OTE).
